Delete your Swoon account
In the app (fastest)
- Open Swoon and go to Settings › Data Controls.
- Tap Delete account, then Delete Everything.
Your phone needs to be online. If Swoon can't reach its server, nothing is deleted and you can try again.
Without the app
If you signed in with Google in Swoon, email emailvishnuv@gmail.com from that Google address with the subject "Delete my Swoon account". We'll confirm and delete within 30 days.
If you never signed in with Google, your account is an anonymous id that only existed on your phone, so we can't tell which data is yours from an email. If you still have the app, use the steps above. Otherwise, email us anyway and we'll work with you to find it.
What gets deleted
- Your memory backup on Swoon's server: people, relationship details and remembered facts.
- Usage events shared through "Help Improve Swoon". They're hidden at once and erased within about a day.
- Your anonymous Swoon account.
- On the phone: memory, learned reply style, activity, settings and website sign-ins in Swoon's browser.
- When you ask by email: the Google sign-in record (email, name and profile picture link) as well.
What may remain
- Server request logs (time, IP address, device type, no content), which expire after about 30 days.
- A record that a backup item was deleted, with no content. It lets your other phones remove it too.
- Aggregate statistics already computed from many users' shared events. These contain no ids and can't be linked to you.
- If you signed in with Google, deleting in the app signs that phone out but keeps the Google sign-in record, because your other phones may still use it. Email us to remove it.
Want to delete only some data? In Data Controls you can delete all AI memory or clear browser data, and you can delete single people and facts in the app.
